The game discourages war in general.Ĭaptain Price, the main character, is a pretty good role model. There is one scene where a girl and her mother are killed by an explosion, and this is extremely disturbing, however it is by far the most disturbing thing in the whole game. However, there are very few scenes in this game where blood is actually prominent. There is obviously still violence and some occasional swearing. If your child can handle some swearing and a little violence and dark scenes and themes, then yes, let them play it. From the role models and good messages as well as the insight on what war really is, this is more beneficial for your child to play as opposed to Apex Legends or Titanfall 2. I'd say a child as young as 8 could play this and learn a lot from it, but it depends on how mature that 8 year old is. I'm putting 12 on this review but honestly, i think you should decide for yourself whether you want your child to play this.

The difference between a Marvel Movie and Modern Warfare 3 is that your kid will learn good Morality, that war is not a good thing, that the world is broken, and that we need to thank soldiers for their sacrifice for our country, no matter what country you live in (well most countries that is). If your child can watch Marvel movies, then this should be no problem to parents to let them play this. This is not a game with drugs in it, nor does it have anything close to sexual content, so you don't need to worry about that. Children might be disturbed at some scenes but 12+ should not be bothered too much by it.
It's 2011 graphics, so the blood is not very noticeable nor is the violence over the top. The main problem is language, there is quite frequent language, mostly it's S**t, B***h, and B*****d. This game brings to light the sadness of war. It does not glorify taking another's life, in fact on the contrary, it discourages it as seen form multiple quotes shown onscreen when you die. You need to know that Modern Warfare 3 is not a glorified slaughter everybody kind of game. The only concern i have is with voice chat in multiplayer. I'm going to start this review off by saying that I have only played the campaign which will be where most of the problems in this game are, because the multiplayer servers are pretty empty in 2021.
